It's easy to get taxi's, have not stayed in Nusa Dua, but your hotel would call one up for you.If heading to Kuta there are many taxi's around day and night.Yes they are safe. I'd never sit in the front seat with a taxi driver at home, (not that i catch taxi's) but in Bali i feel very safe. It's 95,000rup (taxi)from Airport to Nusa Dua.
